At our booth, we will demonstrate how 5G enables reliable communication between a drone and a ground station. We will walk you through the setup step by step and show how the key building blocks work together. This way, you won’t just see the technology—you will also understand what it is used for, for example improving coverage and supporting situational awareness through environmental sensing.
We combine 5G private networks with drone expertise
Our solution builds on our hands-on experience with 5G private networks and the practical know-how of our drone specialists. As a result, we create a setup that stays flexible while remaining stable and robust—even when conditions on site change quickly.
We also contribute to the conference program: On Wednesday, 4 March, our colleague Lars Heilenkötter will present in the Poster Session: Poster B17 “Radio Access Drone – 3D-Mesh.” There, we show how drones can act as airborne radio nodes and how a 3D mesh network can support connectivity when only limited infrastructure is available.
