Triopt Group: Recap of the DWT Conference 2026 in Bonn.
Our appearance at the DWT conference “Applied Research for Defense and Security in Germany” in Bonn, with the motto “Future Technology for the German Armed Forces,” was a complete success for the Triopt Group. We had many good discussions, made new contacts, and got to know the industry even better. We also heard exciting presentations and gained valuable insights—that’s exactly what makes a trade fair really powerful for us.
Three days of exchange, new contacts, and fresh ideas
It quickly became clear on site that personal exchanges accelerate progress on issues. This enabled us to better classify requirements, clarify questions directly, and at the same time gain new perspectives from the congress program. In this way, we not only expanded our networks, but also gathered concrete approaches for the next steps.
At our booth in the foyer (Maritim Hotel Bonn), we presented our consortium and our project idea “Radio Access Drones – 3D Mesh.” We demonstrated how we combine 5G private networks and drone expertise to put an adaptive communication solution into practice. The direct exchange at the booth helped us to understand more quickly what is really needed and what the next steps should be.
Poster session on Wednesday: Lars Heilenkötter with poster B17
The poster session on Wednesday was a real highlight: Lars Heilenkötter presented our poster “Radio Access Drones – 3D Mesh” four times in small groups as a 15-minute talk. This was followed each time by a discussion with questions, feedback, and exchanges at the poster. This allowed many participants to take in the content in a compact form and engage in conversation at the same time.
We presented the topic together with our partner ecosystem: CampusGenius, Fibrolan, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Microamp Solutions, starcopter, THS Solutions, Universität der Bundeswehr München, ValoFly.
After the trade fair, we will continue to move forward: we want to consolidate the consortium, integrate new suitable contacts, and put the idea into practice.
