Discussion on the Future of the Moers Site

We were delighted to welcome Mayor Julia Zupancic to our campus in Moers. During an initial introductory meeting, we presented the Triopt Group and discussed the opportunities available to Moers in the areas of digitalization, smart cities, and potential research and funding projects.

Our focus was not merely on individual topics. Rather, the discussion centered on how we can work together to drive momentum for the region. After all, it is precisely through direct dialogue between local government and businesses that new ideas and concrete approaches often emerge.

Integrating technology, innovation, and municipal needs

Another key focus of the discussion was our technological focus. We were able to provide insights into our work, particularly in the area of UAS services and our expertise as a designated testing body for remote pilots.

In addition, we discussed potential applications in the field of public safety communications. This area in particular highlights how important it is to align technological developments with practical requirements at an early stage. That is why this exchange was particularly valuable to us.

Greater networking within the regional economy

The meeting also highlighted the importance of close dialogue between the city and regional businesses. It was further agreed that the Economic Development Agency will connect us with suitable companies in a targeted manner going forward. The goal is to create synergies and foster collaboration within the regional economy.

In addition, new initiatives are to be launched in the Genend industrial park to further strengthen local exchange and networking. We very much welcome this, because sustainable partnerships often emerge where people and companies engage in direct dialogue with one another.

Nils Ermert, CEO:
“This open dialogue has shown just how much potential there is in collaboration between the municipality and local businesses. Issues such as smart cities, digital infrastructure, and innovative services can only be advanced through joint efforts. We want to further deepen this dialogue and actively help shape Moers into a sustainable, digital hub.”

An important impetus for further cooperation

For us, the visit was an open and constructive exchange on future-oriented topics that are of great importance to the Moers region. We would therefore like to extend our sincere thanks to Mayor Julia Zupancic for her interest and the pleasant conversation.

We would also like to thank Klaus Janczyk and Frank Putzmann, who accompanied us during the visit. We look forward to seeing this exchange lead to concrete ideas, new contacts, and shared visions for Moers.

The city of Moers also reported on the visit.
